Justin Langer’s view on feedback: “Criticise privately, but praise publicly”

The nation was somewhat captivated over the weekend by the debut performance of Ashton Agar. If you weren’t watching – the number 11 debutant managed to change the direction of the first innings of the first test with his stunning 98 before being dismissed just 2 runs short of his maiden century.  It was compelling viewing, made even more sensational by his seemingly charming, humble and self-deprecating approach.  Hopefully, he has a long and successful career in front of him.

Which leads me to the purpose of this post – which is to share a wonderful interview from James Lush of Lush TV with Justin Langer. I recently wrote about how Justin has taken over the role of cricket coach for the WA cricket side, and is already making huge inroads into changing the culture of the team.
