It turns out it is even more simple

thanks

Let’s make it even more simple. Remember the post I wrote on what employees value over a pay rise? It turns out that it’s more simple still. It’s just two simple words..

Those two words?

Thank you!

The disclaimer is that it needs to be a genuine thank you (and in conjunction with other appropriate recognition and reward). And money whilst not a satisfier, can most definitely be a dissatisfier if the employee perceives they’re not being paid enough.

If you would like to discuss how I could help you say thank you, get in touch.

And if you’re still hungry for more on motivation, reward and recognition, you can find my leadership book here.

Until next week, happy leading.
