Welcome to 2016. What do you want to achieve this year?

There’s something particularly fresh and brimming with promise about a new year. The possibilities seem endless. The prior year, with all its attendant troubles seems far (or further) away.

So let’s start this year with a bang:

  • What is the one thing that you’d like to look back on in January 2017 and be proud of this year. What do you need to put in place to make that happen? What is the first step necessary?
  • What was the biggest lesson you learnt from last year (whether that be in life, love or the workplace)? And what will that mean you do differently/the same this year?

They say what gets measured gets done. But I think it’s about living with clarity and intention.  Too often we have vague goals or objectives.  But if we just crystalise those — be really clear about what we want, why we want it, and (importantly) what we are prepared to do to get it — well then, sit back and watch the magic happen.

So, let’s take the most well worn of all goals in the new year — to lose weight and get fit. No point putting that on your list unless you are prepared to look at your diet, find an exercise regime that works for you and put in the time and sweat to make it happen.

So, what do you want to happen this year? What are you prepared to do to make it happen?

Until next week, happy leading.
